PMASA SCHOLARSHIP
07 Apr, 2024
We're thrilled to unveil the establishment of a scholarship fund designed to support aspiring students pursuing higher education in medical and allied fields through licensing exams i.e. AMC, ADC, PESCI, KAPS etc.

The primary aim of this scholarship fund is to extend financial assistance to members of our medical and allied fraternity who may encounter financial hurdles in covering the costs of their licensing exams.

This initiative deeply resonates with our organization's fundamental values of promoting education, nurturing talent, and giving back to the community.

By investing in the education of promising students, we not only facilitate their personal development but also cultivate future leaders who will make substantial contributions to society.

In honour of our deeply respected member who embarked on his final journey earlier this year, the executive committee unanimously decided to name this scholarship fund the PMASA’s Dr. Abdul Majeed Kajani Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Establishing this scholarship fund not only benefits deserving students but also elevates our organization's reputation and underscores our commitment to social responsibility.

To bring this vision to fruition, we've assembled a dedicated committee led by Dr. Farooq Ahmad, a respected GP within our community. This committee will oversee the establishment and management of the scholarship fund, including defining eligibility criteria, selecting recipients, fundraising efforts, and assessing the impact of the scholarships awarded. There will be a separate account for this purpose and any amount raised will solely go into this account and will not be used for any other purpose.

We encourage you to spread the word within our community, and if you know of any individuals who could benefit from this scholarship, please connect them with us. Rest assured; confidentiality will be always maintained. Let's unite to nurture kindness and support within our community, thus reinforcing its strength.

With your support and collaboration, we are confident that we can make a genuine difference in the lives of aspiring students and contribute to the advancement of education within our community.

PMASA & Shaukat Khanum Hospital
02 Mar, 2024
Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Nazim Abbas, the Pakistan Medical Association of South Australia (PMASA) has established a collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Hospital. Through this partnership, an agreement has been reached that allows Year 11 and 12 students to undertake placements in any department within the hospital's network, according to their preferences. Furthermore, we are currently exploring the possibility of providing additional training opportunities for junior doctors. This initiative aims to enhance the educational experience of doctors in training in Pakistan by offering them hands-on exposure to various medical fields and specialties.
